either person. It states only that William Watson and Nancy Nutter were married in Harrison County on Oct 22, year not
specified but context and sequence indicating 1840. Other researchers, including Wes Cochran, have reported Oct 22
1841. The marriage date at first glance appears to be Mar 4 1841, with the Oct 22 entry pertaining to the previously
listed couple . But closer examination reveals the Oct 22 date to pertain to the marriage between William Watson &
Nancy Nutter. MR Bk 3, p. 145.

obituary would actually put birth date at Jun 22 1848. Immediate family had
long believed it to be Jun 13 1848, basis unknown. Age given at death in death
record would put birth date at May 22 1848. Headstone gives only the year 1848.
Note (4) Birth dative given in 1900 Census as Jul 1859, while headstone has only the
year 1859, both of which are at variance with the July 22 1858 date in his birth
