Note (1) Son George Washington Husk's death record identifies his father's birthplace
as Pennsylvania, and daughter Martha's death record states father's birthplace
as Greene Co, PA. But 1850 Census of Greene Co, Pa. gives his birthplace as
Virginia, while all other family members are shown as being born in
Pennsylvania. The 1900 Census of Doddridge County states his birth date as
March 1819.
Note (2) Dates on headstone are 1841-1930.
Note (3) Death record states death date as Aug 9 1941 at age 92y1m24d, with birth date
stated as Jun 14 1849. But immediate family reports his death date as Aug 7
1941, which would also make the age conform with the birth date. Since the
death record also states the date of his burial as Aug 8 1941, it is clear that
the reported death date is incorrect and should be Aug 7 1941.
Note (4) No headstone, but a small homemade wooden marker gives age at death as 92y 1m
24d.
Note (5) Obituary states his birth date as Jun 16 1855, with corresponding age at
death of 70y 9m 5d. But WV state death certificate shows his birth date as Jan
16 1855, with corresponding age at death of 71y 2m 5d.
Note (6) Doddridge County death record gives date of death as Mar 20 1926, but
obituary and WV state death certificate both state that Mar 21 1926.
