marriage record. The latter two are considered more reliable, especially since the birth
records existing for that time frame are typed transcriptions of the original handwritten

Event Notes
Note (1) Son George Washington Husk's death record identifies his father's birthplace
as Pennsylvania, and daughter Martha's death record states father's birthplace
as Greene Co, PA. But 1850 Census of Greene Co, Pa. gives his birthplace as
Virginia, while all other family members are shown as being born in
Pennsylvania. The 1900 Census of Doddridge County states his birth date as
March 1819.
