Notes for: Elizabeth Jane Critchfield

Some question exists as to her correct first name. Although widely believed to have been Sarah, evidence seems more to indicate Elizabeth. In either event, she was known almost exclusively only by her middle name, Jane. Her name was given as Jane in the 1870 Census, and even her headstone identifies her only as "Jane, wife of Isaac Husk." The death record of Isaac Newton Husk incorrectly lists his parents as Isaac Husk and Jane Whetlatch [sic], confusing his mother with his grandmother, Sarah Whitlatch.
