Event Notes Note (1) The obituaries of both Ernest and Florence give their marriage date as Oct 27 1917, but the marriage record, as completed by the officiating minister, states that the ceremony was held on Oct 28 1917 at "the residence of Evert Husk in Doddridge Co. W. Va." October 27th that year was a Saturday. Person providing information for the marriage license application was M. F. Husk. Note (2) "Gilmer County Marriages" reports marriage date as Nov 14 1931. Note (3) Obituary states place of birth as Oxford (Doddridge Co, WV), but immediate family, marriage record and death certificate all indicate Wetzel Co, WV. Note (4) Death record reports date of death as July 25 1947. But details of the circumstances of the automobile accident show that it was in the early morning hours of July 26 1947, a date concurred with by the immediate family. His military gravestone incorrectly shows his death date as Aug 26 1947. Note (5) Marriage record gives his birthplace as Doddridge County, an apparent error, as obituary states Pocahontas County. Note (6) Obituary of husband gives marriage date as Feb 11 1931, which is incorrect.
