"Davis - The Settlers of Salem WV" reports only that he died in Nebraska. Note (2) ceremony performed by Asa Bee Note (3) Minnie Kendall Lowther (p. 316) reports marriage date as Nov 3 1864. Note (4) Birth date given in death record as Aug 26 1847. But "Davis - The Settlers of Salem WV" reports birth date as Aug 27 1848, and 1900 Census also shows birth date as Aug 1848. Note (5) Identified in "Davis - The Settlers of Salem WV," p. 124 as Rosalie D. Bond, b. Jun 20 1853, and the name on her headstone is also Rosalie. But SAR application of grandson identifies her as Rosetta Bond, b. Jun 20 1854. Marriage record also gives her name as Rosetta. SAR reports her death date as Feb 1941, but her headstone shows it as Jan 18 1941. Note (6) "Davis - The Settlers of Salem WV," p. 186, reports death date as Apr 14 1914 in Harrison County.
