Event Notes
Note (1) His headstone indicates age 75 at the time of his Dec 23 1868 death, putting
his birth in about 1793. But ages 51 and 61 in the 1850 and 1860 censuses put
it in about 1799. The name on his headstone is Israel Steadman, while the
headstone of his first wife identifies her as Elizabeth, wife of Israel Stedman.
We have found no record of his second wife, Permelia Andrews, after the 1860
Census.
