Event Notes Note (1) Obituary, "West Union Herald," Thursday, Jan 1 1914: CHILD DIES Breynard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hyatt, died at the home of his parents at Morgansville on Christmas morning of diphtheria, aged eight months. The funeral services were held at the grave in the Archbold cemetery at Smithburg, where interment was made. This makes the second death in the family within the last few weeks, a little girl having been burned to death but a short time ago. Obituary, "Doddridge County Republican," Thursday, Jan 1 1914: DEATH AGAIN ENTERS THE HYATT HOME Brennard, the eighth months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hyatt of Morgansville, died Christmas morning of diphtheria. The funeral services were conducted at the Archbold cemetery at 11:00 o’clock Friday Morning. Carl S. Pease was the director. The bereaved family has the profound sympathy of the entire community in this their second terrible loss in so short a time, only a few weeks having elapsed since a dear little girl was burned to death.
