Other affidavits in James O. Duckworth's military records support the 3 Aug 1862 date. Records further reflect that James O. Event Notes Note (1) Living next to his daughter, Rachel Menear Haynes. His wife had already died (March 1870). Note (2) Findagrave.com reports a birth date of Jan 14 1814. But headstone, which does not specify a birthdate, shows that she died on Mar 14 1870, age 55y 11m 29d, which calculates to a birth date of Mar 13 1814. Note (3) Age 18 in 1862 marriage record would put birth in about 1844. But age 14 in 1860 Census puts it in about 1846.Name Index
