Event Notes Note (1) The tax assessment list for the period Sep - Dec 1862 in Doddridge County included an entry for Luke Jaco, residence at Arnolds Creek, assessed a tax of one dollar on a horse carriage valued at $100. Tax records also indicate that Luke Jaco was residing in Missouri in the years 1866 and 1867, but that he appeared to have returned to Doddridge after that. The last Doddridge County tax record in his name was for the year 1872, although it is not clear that he was a resident at that time, or even still living.
