Note (2) Although Minnie Kendall Lowther in "History of Ritchie County," p. 14, reports their marriage date as about 1809, which would conform to the 1810 birth date that she incorrectly reports for their oldest child Andrew, Harrison County marriage records show that Robert Lowther married Polly Hattabaugh (or Radabaugh or Hallebaugh, the handwritten record being barely legible) on Mar 21 1815. Linder, in "Gibson and Related Families," p. 442, also reports an 1815 marriage date and shows Andrew's birth date as about 1816, conforming to his age 44 given in 1860 Census. Note (3) "History of Ritchie County," p. 13, reports birth date as Nov 2 1792. But age 59y 2m 29d on headstone calculates to a birth date of Apr- 2-1792. Note (4) while attending college
