Despite having to drop out of Broadway Junior High School to support his family, Bob Cross had a long and successful career in the transit industry. His career began at the City Lines of West Virginia in Clarksburg, WV. He went on to manage the mass transit systems in Fort Worth, TX, Atlanta, GA, Hartford, Conn., and Rochester, NY. He retired and returned to Clarksburg in 1989.
