      Per numerous family members and Gaston-Husk Family Bible. Cochran's "Doddridge County WV Deaths" reports one day earlier, on July 25 1947. Headstone has incorrect death date of Aug 26 1947, while SSDI incorrectly reports death date as July 1946. He was killed in an automobile accident.

      Identified as Harold C. Husk, 24, b. Wetzel Co, res. Doddridge Co; and Mrs. Sarah E. Gaston, b. Ritchie Co, res. Doddridge Co. Married Feb 7 1931.

      Although they presumably intended to divorce, they never did. The following notice appeared in the West Union Herald of Mar 30 1939: "This is to notify all persons that I will not be responsible for any debts contracted by my wife Sarah E. Husk, as she has left me without just cause. HAROLD HUSK, Oxford, W. Va. Route 1." They remained separated for eight years until Harold's death in an automobile accident.
