Adams Gaston, and she therefore adopted the Gaston family name. Morris Samuel Gaston was a first cousin of baby Lenora's maternal grandmother, Mary Isabelle Gaston Adams, and a second cousin of her paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Laverna Gaston Squires. There is speculation that Hattie Adams was also a blood relative. The obituary of Morris Samuel Gaston identified as a surviving "foster daughter, Mrs. Cyril Scott of Oxford." Lenora took up residence in Weirton, WV. Her mother's obituary identifies her as Lenore [sic] Scott, her husband's obituary identifies her as Lenore [sic] Squires Gaston Scott, and the Social Security Death Index lists her name as Lenore [sic] Scott.
