But her death record shows it as Aug 24 1863 or 1864 (the initial entry was overwritten), while the date on her headstone is 1865. Since she tended to make herself a little younger with each succeeding census, the earlier census records would likely be the most accurate. Age 8 in the 1870 Census and age 17 in the 1880 Census would put her birth in about 1862 or 1863.
