      George M. Wade of Montesano, Washington, that great western empire where they "can raise more farm products on a square inch than we can on a square rod," as Mr. Wade once told us in the old court house some years ago, encloses us $2.00 for two years in advance and says "I want the local news from old Doddridge where I had my home for nearly 16 years and where I have many dear friends that I love to hear from and to know how they are politically." "Will we have two tickets to elect one democrat?" "If so, how about Ephraim Bee's pups?"
