Local news item, "West Union Herald," Thursday, Sep 30 1915, in its entirety: Cleveland Gain of the Block House Hill, while unloading a 100-barrel steel tank at the McKendry Dotson well on Long Run last Saturday, had the misfortune to be struck on the side of the face by the end of a binding pole which was propelled with great force by the weight of the tank. He was badly cut and bruised about his cheek bone; his fellow workmen brought him home at once, and the wound was attended to by Dr. E. T. Wetzel and it is thought nothing serious will result.
