Note (2) From his obituary: "Mr. Willis had been in failing health for something like two years, his physical decline dating from the time he was struck by a runaway team and thrown out of his buggy as he and his good wife were driving out of town one evening. For many months he had been gradually going down, and some two months ago he was first confined to his bed with his fatal illness."
