Event Notes Note (1) Birth date Jan 7 1840 in death record is at variance with marriage and census records, which consistently put birth in about 1850. Birth date on headstone is also 1850. But the headstone also inexplicably shows his date of death as 1925, which is incorrect, as his death record clearly shows that he died on Dec 18 1928. Note (2) Birth date on headstone is 1876, but the 1900 Census shows it as Apr 1872, and her age in marriage and census records also put her birth between 1871 and 1873. Birthplace give in 1888 marriage record as Monongalia County, but in 1897 marriage record as Harrison County. Note (3) Infomant on death record: Charles Gatrell, Salem, W.Va. This would be her son-in-law.
