Note (2) The U.S. Census of 1870 gives William O. Vincent's occupation as a farmer and
states that neither he nor his wife could read or write.
Note (3) Marriage record gives birth as Aug 13 1833 in Harrison County, Virginia (now
West Virginia). But her death record gives birthplace as Barbour Co, WV, as
does "The Davissons," p. 143, which gives birthdate as Aug 13 1832. Since her
two closest siblings, both older and younger, were born in Harrison County, that
is considered the more likely birthplace for her as well.
