Event Notes Note (1) "History of Doddridge County," p. 285, states birthplace as Ireland. But "Davis - The Settlers of Salem WV," p. 360 disputes that and indicates rather that he was possibly born in Frederick Co, Virginia. Note (2) Elias Williams' wife Honora was listed as the head of household in the 1845 Taxable Property List of Doddridge County, dated August 1845. Note (3) "History of Doddridge County," p. 285, states that Honora Trenary was born in France. But "Davis - The Settlers of Salem WV," p. 359 disputes that, citing marriage records showing that her parents were married in Winchester, Virginia. Note (4) Age 71y 2m 6d in death record would put birth date at Dec 28 1829. But census records put her birth in about 1820 or 1821, with the 1900 Census specifying Jan 1820, age 80. Birth date on headstone is Jan 2 1819. Note (5) Although her death record states that burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near Zinnia, there is a marker for her and her husband at Kinney Cemetery.
