Notes for: Honora Trenary
From "Davis - The Settlers of Salem WV," p. 360:
Elias and Honora were buried in Doddridge Co on what was the McMillan Farm on Flint Run. This on authority of Carsie Williams who says "They were interred behind the McMillan Barn and no stone marks the spot." Carsie also told of the many moves the couple made in Doddridge and Tyler Co's WV, which he was unable to explain. In our searches we were unable to find any records indicating that Elias Williams Sr owned any land in Doddridge or Harrison Co's, so possibly this is the explanation for the many moves that Carsie Williams spoke about. From the Census, they lived first in the Coburn Creek area of Harrison, and later worked their way through Doddridge and probably into Tyler Co, with their last resting place in Doddridge. Honora was living in Doddridge Co at the time of the 1850 Census.
