Event Notes
Note (1) Birth date given as Dec 28 1866 in obituary and on headstone, and age 21 at
time of Aug 1888 marriage would also put birth in about 1866 or 1867.  But 1900
Census shows his age as 31, with birth date Apr 1869.  W.B. Haught's "Genealogy
of the Haught Family of America," 1948, pp. 166 and 169, incorrectly identifies
him as Jacob Leeson.
Note (2) Birth date given in 1900 Census as Sep 1870, age 29.  But her age was one in
the 1870 Census (enumerated in September) and 11 in the 1880 Census (enumerated
in June).  Birth date on headstone is 1868.
Note (3) Birth date given in 1900 Census as Dec 1890.
Note (4) Doddridge County birth records show her birth as Jun 29 1892 at Holbrook,
which is just inside Ritchie County but is considered by many to be in Doddridge
County and sometimes reported that way.  This would explain why the birth record
was filed in Doddridge County.  SSDI also has birth date as Jun 29.  But
obituary states birth as Jun 19 1892 in Ritchie Co, and her headstone also has
birth date as Jun 19 1892.  Birth date in 1900 Census is Jun 1891.
Note (5) The obituaries of both Ernest and Florence give their marriage date as Oct 27
1917, but the marriage record, as completed by the officiating minister, states
that the ceremony was held on Oct 28 1917 at "the residence of Evert Husk in
Doddridge Co. W. Va."  October 27th that year was a Saturday.  Person providing
information for the marriage license application was M. F. Husk.
Note (6) Listed as Lottie Leeson, age 3, b. Aug 1896, a daughter.
Note (7) But wife's obituary gives marriage date as Oct 19 1915.
Note (8) Obituary gives death date as Wednesday, Sep 20 1993, which is incorrect.  The
correct death date was Wednesday, Sep 22 1993, per SSDI and other sources.
Note (9) In 1900, listed without a name as Infant Leeson, a daughter, age less than 1
month, born May 1900.
