Note (1) "Ritchie County in History and Romance," p. 287-A, states birth date as Aug 4
1822, conflicting with birth date of older sibling.  Age 35 in 1860 Census would
put birth date in about 1825, while age 48 at 1872 marriage puts it at about
1824, and age 80 at time of death also corresponds to an 1824 birth date.
