Note, however, that their oldest child, William, was born on Feb 14 1809 according to age at death on his headstone. Note (3) Linder and Norman report birthdate as Jun 28 1786. Note (4) The wedding service was conducted by the Reverend A. C. Holden. "This was the first marriage solemnized in what is now Ritchie County, as it took place shortly after the organization of the county.
