Note (2) Undated obituary clipping states only that John Eli Hart died "Tuesday afternoon" at age 76. Headstone for double grave of John Eli Hart and wife Salome has her birth & death years (1867-1930), but only his birth year of 1866. The obituary also stated that his first wife, Salome Cain Hart, had "died ten years ago." These discrepancies are clarified by his death record, which states that he was born on Jan 15 1865 and died on Apr 22 1941 at age 76y 3m 7d. Note (3) Headstone reads 1930, but death record clearly shows death date as Dec 2 1931. Note (4) Birth record shows birth on Jun 24 1890 in Doddridge Co, but obituary says Jun 24 1891 in Ritchie Co.
