    GLADYS AMELIA COOPER
    Gladys Amelia Cooper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. (sic) W. Cooper, passed away at her home on Block House hill, Saturday, October 26, after a brief illness of influenza, aged 16 years, 2 months, and 21 days.
    She leaves father, mother, two sisters and two brothers to mourn her loss.
    The death of this young lady is sad indeed, as the whole family, except the father, are confined to their home with influenza.
    She was a good, kind, loveable girl and was highly respected by all who knew her.
    Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. by Rev. G. W. Burdette, of the local U.B. church, at the Ruley cemetery, in charge of A. J. Osborn, funeral director.
    The good people of West Union and Arnolds Creek have shown their loyalty to these good people by able assistance and kindness during their sad trial.
