    Oscar Shull did not serve in the military during the Civil War. In August 1862, he was accused of disloyalty and collaboration with Rebel soldiers. In the draft registration of Doddridge County in Oct/Nov 1863, an entry for Oscar J. Shull, age 24, single, contained the annotation "Prisoner at Johnson Island."
