    Birthplace given in his marriage record as Tyler County, but in his death record and obituary as Ritchie County. His adjacent siblings were born in Tyler County. He was residing in Ritchie County at the time of his 1858 marriage.

    DEATH OF ARTHUR HICKMAN
    Arthur Hickman, an aged and highly respected citizen of Morgansville, died June 1st at ? o'clock p.m., aged 74 years. He was a native of Ritchie county, but has lived in Doddridge for many years. He leaves three sons and two daughters to mourn their loss.
    He was a faithful member of the M.E. Church. Funeral services were conducted at the home on Sunday at 1 p.m. by Rev. Mr. Jesse of the M.E. Church and interment was made in the Archbold cemetery at 4 p.m. Undertaker Osborne was in charge.
