      Through an apparent clerical error, William R. Callihan's mother is incorrectly identified in his birth record as Penelope Chrislip. The adjacent entries in the handwritten ledger are for Chrislip mothers, and the clerk seems to have made the entry on the wrong line and carried over the previously entered surname. William's death record correctly identifies his mother as Penelope Welch. His birth date in this birth record is Nov 1 1872, but his death record states Nov 2 1872.
