    • Much confusion has existed over the years concerning the spelling of his name and that of his father, but his father was Marville (despite being listed as Marvel in his wife's obituary), and he named his son Marvel. Nonetheless, both spellings are often seen for both men, even in official records. Headstone gives name as Marvel L. Haught, and the Social Security Death Index identifies him as Marvel Haught.
