"A quiet wedding was solemnized last Tuesday evening, Nov 19 1914, at the M. E. Church. The contracting parties were Okey C. Clevenger of Long Run and Miss Blanche Childers of Avon, daughter of Mrs. Matheny Childers of Bridgeport. Rev. John T. Hickman, pastor of the M. E. Church, was the officiating clergyman. The groom is employed by the Hope Gas Company at Long Run, and we understand they will live at that place. The Herald joins with their many friends in wishing them a happy and joyous journey through life."
