- Birth date given in the 1900 Census as Aug 1887, but his death record states Aug 12 1885. Death record also states that he had no middle initial and that he was born in Ohio, but the 1920 Census identifies him as Luther S. Kile, born in West Virginia. A birth record in Doddridge County identifies the child as Luther Kile, born at Broad Run on 17 April 1889, son of Andrew J. Kile & Susanna Beverlin, this being the mother's eighth child. However, by all indications, this actually pertains to his brother Lester Kile, twin of Dixon, both of whom died in infancy.
