- He graduated from Sutton High School in 1950, where he played four years of football as a running back. He worked for Industrial Rayon in Cleveland, Ohio. He then joined the Navy in 1951 thru 1954, after that worked on B & O Railroad. Later he moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he worked for Florida East Coast Railroad as a conductor and brakeman. Later he started his own business as a locksmith call BruntÂ’s Lock & Key.
