- Ora E. Coffman II was a graduate of Salem College where he obtained his teaching degree and played four years of college football and baseball on athletic scholarship. He began his career in education in Hancock and Brooke counties where he taught and coached at Beech Bottom Junior High. Ora also worked for Weirton Steele as a carpenter during that time. He then worked a short time for Smith Lumber Company building houses. Ora then taught in Doddridge County where he coached baseball, basketball and football. He then went to work with his brother Lyle in oil and gas for United Operating. Ora was a member of Blandville United Methodist Church.
