- Bob LeGrandre was an accomplished athlete whose specialty was the pentathlon. He represented the United States in the 1924 Summer Olympics held in Paris, France, where he won the bronze medal in the pentathlon. In so doing, he set a new world record for the long jump of 7.76 meters (25.5 feet). [2]
