      Identified as J. W. Killgore, white male, age 52, laborer, married, died July 19 1917 in St. Albans, cause of death consumption. (Note: Death date on headstone is July 10 1917.)

    6. [S5] Headstone.
      According to immediate family, the cemetery management does not know the exact location of John William Kilgore's grave. His marker, which is in the Kemp family plot, was placed there by his daughter Virgie after the cemetery had "lost" his grave location. His son Garland always maintained that someone was buried on top of his grave. The present marker is almost on the top of the hill supposedly near the original site.
