- The Perry County Democrat, July 27, 1910:
David Goshorn died on the 14th inst. at his home in Winchester, Va. He was born in Franklin county, Pa., and in his youth learned the printing trade at Shirleysburg, Pa. He taught school in Franklin and Perry counties when young, later going to Ohio, where he published a paper until the close of the civil war, when he located in Keyser, W. Va., where he published a county newspaper and was also superintendent of the public schools of Mineral county for several years, when he sold out and removed to Winchester, Va., where he lived until his death, which-was due to the infirmities of old age, he being in his 83rd year. ...
