| Notes |
- Along with Joanne Morrison and her sister Carol Morrison, Margie Hess was one of the Pennsboro Harmonettes, a vocal group that won a talent contest at the Wheeling Jamboree in 1950. They became known as the Jamboree Sweethearts and continued to sing every Saturday night for the Jamboree broadcast on radio station WWVA. They left the Jamboree in 1951 in favor of family pursuits. In the mid-1960s, Marge (Smith) Talkington joined the trio, and they became the Pennsboro Ladies Quartet. For nearly the next four decades, they had many bookings at churches, festivals, funerals and other gatherings in the Pennsboro area. [4]
