      Note: The adjoining households were those of Irvin's other two sons, Shirley and Elijah. No other record has been found of the wife Mary listed here. The stated 22 years of marriage predates the 1890 death of his previous wife Mary and is also inconsistent with his marital status in the 1900 Census.

      Note: Della is not a daughter, but a daughter-in-law. Okley Knight (1898-1964) was the daughter of Cyrus T. Knight & Emma Shepherd and stepdaughter of Alexander McCloy. Velma McCloy is Okley's half-sister. Their relationship to the Lipscomb family is not clear
