- Letter to the Editor, "West Union Record," Thursday, Jun 6 1918, in its entirety:
LETTER FROM CAMP LEE
Camp Lee, Va.
5-31-'18
Dear Editor,
We arrived at Camp Lee Tuesday May 28th at 10:30 A.M. feeling very tired and sleepy but in good spirits. All the Doddridge boys are together in Co 58.
The First Segt says we are the best company he hasever had. We feel proud of that. We hope to break the record and get the Kaiser sure.
If this letter misses the waste basket, I will write again. Here is wishing the Record and its many readers happiness and success.
Lewis E. Williams
