  	"Ohio Valley Genealogies," p. 46, reports death date as March 1820. But 1860 has been reported elsewhere, and he does appear in the 1850 and 1860 censuses. He is not found in the 1870 or later census. The March 1820 date cited by Hanna is presumed to be a marriage date.
  Notes	James Gaston and son Oliver, then residents of Alabama, visited their friends in New Jersey in 1858 when they came to New York to witness the first laying of the Atlantic cable. [3]
