      Identified as Mary Catherine Greathouse, widowed, b. Feb 19 1843 in Doddridge Co, dau of Robert Greathouse [sic] (b. Harrison Co) & Cathrine [sic] Spurgeon (b. Preston Co). Died Dec 13 1932 at Blandville. Informant: French Greathouse, Blandville. It is noted that the birth date is over a year prior to the marriage of her presumed parents, Robert Lowther & Mary Ann Spurgeon; since her parents' names given here are at variance with other records, they are considered to be the result of erroneous information provided by son French Greathouse.
