      Identified as Rella J. Hickman, white female, b. May 28 1903, dau of J. M. Hickman & Iva May Haught Hickman. Informant: Iva Hickman, mother. (Note: The adjacent entry in the ledger-style birth record is for Ada Hickman, white female, b. May 27 1903 at Summers WVa, dau of J. M. Hickman (farmer) & Ioah (sic) Haught Hickman, this being the mother's second child. Informant: Dr. D. Leeson. No other record of or reference to this child Ada has been found, and the 1910 Census clearly states that Ivah had only the three children listed, namely Ortha, Rella & Grant. Although we cannot explain how it came about, especially in view of the different name and one-day difference, it is considered that the entry of Ada was a clerical error that pertained to the birth of Rella.)
