      Identified as B. F. Bond, 21, res. Doddridge Co, son of B. B. Bond; and Nancy Sayre, 19, res. Doddridge Co, dau of Elizabeth Sayre. Marriage license issued on Oct 30 1850.
      NOTE: This record pertains only to the issuance of a marriage license. A corresponding record of the actual marriage has not been found, but it was customary for a couple to marry within a day or two of issuance of the license. Benjamin F. Bond's obituary states that he and Nancy Sayre were married in 1845 and that she died in 1847, both dates clearly incorrect. Apparently also incorrect is the identification in this marriage license record of Nancy's mother as Elizabeth, rather than Mary (Smith) Sayre as indicated in the 1850 Census of Doddridge County.
