    • Penny Linder, in "The Gibson and Related Families" (p. 108), identifies Nannie May Gaston as "D. Mae Gaston," born on the same date in Doddridge Co, WV. A birth record does exist for her in both counties (see footnote). Based on locations of other events in her family, Harrison County would be considered more likely, but her obituary states that she was born in Doddridge County. The obituary identifies her as "N. May Gaston," while the Social Security Death Index lists her simply as "May Gaston."
