The handwritten marriage record provides no identifying information on either person. It states only that William Watson and Nancy Nutter were married in Harrison County on Oct 22, year not specified but context and sequence indicating 1840. Other researchers, including Wes Cochran, have reported Oct 22 1841. The marriage date at first glance appears to be Mar 4 1841, with the Oct 22 entry pertaining to the previously listed couple . But closer examination reveals the Oct 22 date to pertain to the marriage between William Watson & Nancy Nutter.
