      NOTE: A Delayed Certificate of Birth filed by Jasper G. Rose in 1950 states his birth date as Aug 9 1895. Supporting documents were a Seaman's passport issued in 1942, a Coast Guard identification card issued in 1942, and an affidavit by his aunt Sylvia C. Davis. Basis for the discrepancy is not known.
