"The case of Waldo P. Hitchcox vs. Aveline V. Hitchcox, from Ritchie county, was argued by Judge Lee for the appellant, and Messrs. Stanton and Allison for the appellee. The case was submitted to the Court."
In the 1870 Census of Ritchie County, Waldo P. Hitchcock and two of his siblings appeared in the household of his widowed mother. Waldo's wife was not present. His wife was aslo in the 1870 Census of Ritchie County, listed as A. V. Hitchcox, 37, value of real estate $2,000, value of personal estate$176. With her were her four children from her first marriage: Mollie Flynn (17), Margaret E. Flynn (15), Thomas T. Flynn (13), and Angel Flynn, (10).
