Mrs. Tom Brading Dies Unexpectedly
Mrs, Nona Florence Brading, 65, widow of the late Tom Brading, died unexpectedly about 9 a.m. today at her home, 809 Spruce street, following a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at the Sawin-Dyer chapel at 2 p.m. Friday, the Rev. E.R. Talbot officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon cemetery.
She was born in Weston, W. Va., Jan. 6, 1895, and came to Atchison 58 years ago with her parents, Luther and Frances Hager Cole. She was married here Nov. [ ], 1915, to Tom Brading, who died in 1944. For several years she was alterationist at Gordon store.
A son, Kenneth Brading, proprietor of the Brading cleaning shop of North Fifth, was killed in a automobile accident when his car plunged into the Little Sugar Lake from Mo. 45.
She leaves a son, Thomas W. Brading, a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Lorenz, four grandchildren, Janet and Kenneth Brading and Carolyn and Dennis Lorenz, all of Atchison.
Mrs. Brading telephoned, Mrs. Lorenz last night saying that she felt unusually well. A week ago a physician said she was in normal health.
