      Original entry in birth record recorded his birth date as July 25 1892. But the year of birth was changed in 1942 by affidavit of mother, citing Family Bible, to read either 1893 or 1895. The revised entry is not clear and could be interpreted either way. In the 1900 Census, however, his birth date was clearly July 1893.
